Monday madness has basically been a theme prior to the New Year! Monday’s are a hard day in my book. From coming down from the weekend to starting the work week! It’s like a fire drill every week! There just had to be a better way! For one of my New Year resolutions, I vowed to get organized! And stop this crazy fire drill ride that we are on!
So my plan and my new Monday ritual! Meal planning and making my grocery list on Sunday nights. Planning to go to the grocery store on Monday mornings, come home and start cooking! Sounds easy enough! Right try that with a very busy, active 2- year- old, Little Dude!
It kinda looks like this… Get myself ready, get little dude ready! Today daddy gave him a neck tie to wear because he wanted to go to work just like daddy! Perfect!! That worked awesome! He was ready to go and work! His job today…. Help mommy at the grocery store, help pick out things, and hold the list! Very important job! Then come home help unload! Little dude goes and plays. I put the refrigerator/ freezer items away and make him some lunch, wind down and put him down for nap!
Then my play time begins! 2 1/2 to 3 hours of play time!! I put the rest of my groceries away, clean out and organize my frig. The best part of all is that I start cooking! I’m trying to get a jump start on the week and make some healthy meals for my family. So when the week gets busy and the craziness begins… I’ve got healthy nutritious meals for my family to eat!!
Today’s plan to make a Quiche, Lentil Soup, & a salad to go with our Wild Caught Copper River Salmon!!
Happy Monday Cooking!!
