It’s one of the sweetest times of the year for NFL football fans. The biggest game, the Super Bowl. A whole season of play, all the watching, all cheering for our favorite team comes down to this one game.
Each football season we huddle in front of the TV during our favorite team’s scheduled game. Cheering and coaching from the couch hoping that our team is one of the two left standing at the end of the playoff games. It is hard work to be a dedicated fan.
Our team doesn’t always make it to the Super Bowl and in those cases, we still find a way to have fun. We pick one of the two teams playing in the Super Bowl and we become fans. Cheering for them just as if they were our own favorite team. We even party!
I making some Skittle Bark for dessert to Make Super Bowl 50 Even Sweeter! And because Skittles is an official sponsor of the NFL Super Bowl! Check out the recipe below:
Skittles Bark
What You Need:
2 cups of white chocolate chips
1/3 cup of Skittles Fruit Candies
1 teaspoon shortening
Parchment paper
How To:
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a small crockpot, heat the white chocolate over medium- low heat.
Keep stirring the white chocolate until it is all melted and to prevent the white chocolate from burning 3-5 minutes.
Once the white chocolate is all melted, turn off the crockpot.
Pour the white chocolate onto the cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and smooth out.
Wait 2-4 minutes for the white chocolate to start to cool.
Let the Skittles Bark completely cool.
Once cooled break up the Skittles Bark and serve.
I didn’t even have to leave the house to shop for our party! I shopped Amazon for all our party needs and sweets. Gotta love the easiness of Amazon Prime! Two days later my a happy faced package arrived at my doorstep. By the way, for a limited time, participating products will be on sale for up to 20% off. Woohoo!
