I’ve been obsessed with a few things lately. 1. making juice shots 2. running and 3. getting outside in the sunshine. It’s a bonus if I can run outside! Since I broke my foot last April it has been a slow start to running again and the Dr.’s said I needed to wait until January 2016 to start back up on a running program again. January has come and gone and I’m so excited to be running again.
I have always been a huge fan of juicing. Wheatgrass shots are one of my favorites and I figured why can’t I do the same with other juices? Instead of making a huge juice, I’ve just been making a shot size worth. It’s less wasteful and it still gives me the power punch of a full-sized juice I love so much! My favorite has been my “Sunshine Juice Shot” recipe. Lemon, lime, ginger and turmeric. The combination of lemon, lime, ginger, & turmeric aids in digestion and it gives you a quick energy boost naturally! The Sunshine Juice Shot is perfect to enjoy after a run, before your morning cup of coffee, or after dinner or large meal. Check it out.
What You Need:
1/2 of a lemon
1/2 of a lime
1 tbsp size chunk of ginger
1/4 tsp turmeric
- Cut the lemon & lime in half.
- Peel and cut the fresh ginger.
- Measure a 1/4 tsp of turmeric and place it at the bottom of a shot glass.
- Turn on the juicer and feed the lemon, lime, and ginger in.
- Stir and pour into the shot glass.
- Mix in the shot glass until turmeric is mixed in.
- Drink and Enjoy!
