It is getting close about that time… Okay about a month lefts. The family vacation is over, camps are winding down, and you are starting to hear the kids say, “I am bored, there is nothing to do.” You and the kids are ready for Back to School! The realization just starts to sink in that you made it through summer. Yes! You survived yet another summer break…
It is about that time for back to school shopping, and you are seeing the light and counting down the time to reclaim your school year schedule of crazy, or crazy busy. Either way, you are excited to get back to a “normal crazy schedule” and maybe a shopping trip to the grocery store without the kids. There will also be some time to get started on all those summer memory photo books with all your “free time” now that the kids are back in school!
Ok truth be told… I am excited to have some extra kid-free time while Little Dude is at school. I am sure you’re excited for your children to go back too! But before we all jump for joy because we have some kid-free time we need to hit the stores for some back to school shopping.
Jumpstart Back to School! Get ready now, so you avoid all the last minute scrambles. Not sure about your kids but my son has a supply list that is a mile long. It’s crazy to think that he will go through 12 glue sticks in one school year or 120 pencils. Check out these Back to School Shopping Hack to get you through back to school easily.

When kids starts going back to school, it changes the calendar to earlier preparations but at the same time leaves you more time without the kids. It would be exciting for kids to have new stuff for the school year as this is one of the things that keep them excited. It’s always good to take advantage of existing promos and discounts.

I did my school supplies shopping early, I don’t do it all at one time. Sometimes I even start school supply shopping even before the school year is over. Oh well, my kids are grown up so shopping for supplies is a closed chapter in my book of raising kids. I will share this post with my sister. She still has school age kids, one in middle school, another in junior high.

Hard to believe that summer really is at an end but so grateful at the same time! Planning ahead is a very good idea. Last year my daughter started school without a new backpack because I waited til the last minute to order it. Oops. Won’t be making that same mistake again.

I love the idea of scheduling well appts. in advance! Last year I bought WAY too many spiral notebooks, I still have two boxes full from Wal-mart that are untouched. I wish the same could be said of crayons and pencils!

My kids go to Catholic school and have to wear uniforms which is so nice. We all get roughly the same school supplies which works, but it still costs enough when you have more than one child!
