Paper link chain bring me back to my days in elementary school. Paper links were everywhere! I love using paper chain links to count down to special events or to Christmas. It also teaches Little Down counting! Each night starting December 1st, Little Dude rips off a number from the chain link. Then we review the number and count how many days are left until Christmas! It’s an awesome visual for him and he loves it!
What you need:
1- 12×12 piece of scrapbook paper
1- 12×12 piece of scrapbook paper
Red & green glitter glue
Stapler
How to:
Fold the red scrapbook paper in half
Then fold it in thirds
Then fold it in half
Open it up and cut along the folds
You should have 12 small pieces
Repeat with green scrapbook paper
Write even numbers on green paper with red glitter glue
Write odd numbers on red paper with green glitter glue
Let dry
Then staple together
Starting December 1 each night rip off the corresponding number of the date
Count down till Christmas
