One of the sweetest things ever in my life has been watching my husband evolve. First as my boyfriend, then into my husband, and finally to a daddy to our son, Little Dude. One of my favorite things is watching Little Dude follow his daddy around and watch how hubs loves it just as much as Little Dude does. Hubs’ is Little Dude’s hero. Little Dude is his daddy’s shadow and he wants to be doing everything his daddy does.
It is beautiful to watch the bond that they share together as father. Hubs’ is a hand’s on Daddy and truly enjoys every second of our parenting journey. Even when his hands are full he always finds a way to go the extra mile for us! Like when he uses his hands free Energizer Headlights to fix stuff around the house for us or to play a great game of Dino Search Party with Little Dude.
This Father’s Day we are celebrating Daddy! He is an amazing father and husband for all he does and all he gives up! We are celebrating him, Little Dude’s hero, Daddy!
Check out Little Dude’s Top 10 Favorite Things to do with his Daddy!
-
Riding bikes outside~
Little Dude will ride his bike and hubs will follow behind him running never asking Little Dude to slow down.
-
Nighttime Bug Catching Extravaganza~
Hubs and Little Dude adventure outside to catch bugs. Hubs puts on his Energizer Headlights to make his hands free for digging. It makes it easier to help Little Dude dig and find the bugs.
-
Going fishing~
Hubs and Little Dude use any worms they find during their nighttime bug-catching extravaganza as bait for fishing. The earlier our son learns this, the more he will know as he gets older and they can start enjoying a lot more fishing trips!
-
Dino Search Party~
This is a fun game Hubs plays with Little Dude some nights. He hides some of Little Dude dinosaurs figure. Then he puts on his Energizer Headlights and together they search for dinosaurs.
-
Help Daddy Fix Things~
Hubs always finds a little something Little Dude can do to help him with fixing things around the house. Hubs uses the Energizer Headlights so both of his hands are free to show little dude how to use the tools.
-
Playing Headlight Tag in the dark~
Hubs grabs his Energizer Headlights and Little Dude grabs his flashlight!
-
Entertaining~
Hubs and I love having people over. When Hubs is grilling at night, the Energizer Headlights allow Hubs open the grill and turn over the steaks without having to hold a flashlight too.
-
Running~
Little Dude loves to watch from the back door his Daddy go for a night run. Little Dude and I side by the back door looking for the light from hubs’ Energizer Headlights. Little Dude cracks up watching the light from the Energizer Headlights move up and down like it’s floating and then watching it disappear out of site.
-
Getting the mail together~
Hubs will always let Little Dude hold the mail and bring it inside, even if he is dropping it.
-
Read bed time stories together~
Little Dude likes to read his bed times stories with the lights off using a flash light. However, he doesn’t always shine it on the words. Hubs uses his hands free Energizer headlights so he can see the words on the pages as he reads!
What’s your favorite way to use the Energizer Headlights!

What a touching tribute! I’ve loved watching the relationship between my husband and son evolve. They, too, are big fans of the Energizer headlights and used them last night to play tag in our yard! #client

We are HUGe fans of using head lamps as reading lights at bed time. We have had them for the girls for years!

This is such a sweet post. We haven’t used headlights yet, but will probably get them in case we have another blackout.

Love those for seeing the grill at night! (So much better than trying to hold a flashlight in your teeth. Not that I’ve ever done that, of course.)
Lovely post!

We love using our headlights for camping and of course my kids want to wear theirs even when we not camping. Great post. Looking like your son is very lucky to have such a special dad.
