We just moved to Jacksonville from Philly about a month ago. Little Dude’s favorite holiday is Halloween and I realized from the student roster that most of the kids in his class at his new school live near us. Little Dude joined the class a month ago and it is very hard to meet the other parents when you don’t walk the kids to class. I decided to host an impromptu Halloween Themed Playdate at our house. It was a fantastic way for me to meet the other parents and for the kids to get together and play.

Jack-O-Lanterns (mandarin orange fruit cups)- With a sharpie pen I draw eyes, nose & mouth to make the look like Jack-O-Lanterns.

I also served chips & salsa, veggie tray, and fruit salad. Coffee and ice tea for the parents.

The playdate was a blast! The kids have fun and I was able to meet all the other parents.
What ways have you tried to meet the other parents at school?

What a fun idea! Sounds like a perfect way to meet more parents while the kids have a blast, too!
