Little Dude is not quite three yrs old, and I had a very difficult time finding summer camp activities for his age – although when he’s older, I think we’ll seriously consider sending him to this summer camp in Maine that a friend’s child apparently adored. In my own search, everything I found was basically daycare, and that wasn’t for us. So I came up with my own summer camp!! Mommy DIY Camp!
We’re back with another exciting week of Mommy DIY Summer Camp! Part of Thank You Honey’s Share the Love Series! This week was Let’s go to the Circus! A fun filled week of clowning around. We acted like clowns at the Circus Park, visited the Circus & watched a live show. We also clowned around and made some tie-dye tee-shirts! The circus was in full effect this week!
What you need:
4 different color Rit Dye (blue, green, yellow, red)
Plain white tee-shirts
2 squeeze bottles
Follow directions on the box of Rit dye to prepare dye
I put the darker colors in the squeeze bottles &, the lighter colors in the bucket.
Twist, tie, bunch, however, you like your tee-shirt and hold together with rubber bands
Dip into lighter colors first then squeeze darker colors on
After you tie-dyed shirt leave to sit for 1 hour
Rinse tee-shirt with water till water runs clear
Wash tie- dye tee- shirts in the washer with laundry soap on cold cycle
Run bleach in the washer after the tee-shirts
Dry & voila!
Tie Dye Tee-shirts!!
