Little Dude was off from school for Fall Break and I decided it would be a perfect opportunity to check out some of the things to do with kids in Jax. The MOSH in Jacksonville was the first thing to pop up in my google search. From the description and website the MOSH, Museum of Science & History would be right up Little Dude’s ally.
First, we went out to lunch and sat outside along the Southbank Riverwalk watching the boats and keeping a close eye out for dolphins. Then, we walked over to the MOSH, Museum of Science & History. Admission is very reasonable and it’s not very crowded on weekdays.
Little Dude and I strolled into the human body starting with the mouth. As we walked down the throat we examined human body part preserved in jars and interacted with robotics.
We then, adventured through Atlantic Tails and touched creatures in the touch tank.
Little Dude and I learned about weather, space exploration, and how to identify constellations in the Fall night sky in the planetarium.
We met a dinosaur and studied Northeast Florida History and visiting all the animals in Florida Naturalist’s Center.
What a fun museum with a variety of things to do! It was a full day of learning!
What are some of your favorite things to do with your kids when they are off from school?

As I read this blog I remember when my mother went to the said place and explore the lovely Florida.

Oh how fun! When Mr. T was little we would hit up the zoo and interactive adventures – but still to this day my favorite is Palace of Wax and Ripley’s believe it or not – it’s too much for your Little Dude, but for us they are in the same building and we love it! 🙂
