St. Patrick’s Day is both a religious holiday among Catholics and a celebration of the Irish culture. Some attend church, some take part in parades and festivals and wearing green. It is also a day that the Lent restrictions on eating and drinking are lifted for the day in order to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day traditions, which encourages drinking alcohol and partying! And of course Corned Beef & Cabbage and Irish Soda Bread! My husband is Irish so we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! Check out this delicious recipe for Paleo Irish Soda Bread!
