* I wrote this post as part of my participation in a blog tour for The Motherhood on behalf of the makers of Children’s MOTRIN® and received compensation to thank me for taking the time to participate. However, all opinions expressed are my own.
This year, I’m inspired to be the best wife, mother, and friend I can be. It might sound cliché but the truth is it really is not. I’m not only going to inspire myself, I’m going to inspire others around me. Why, you might be asking… because I survived.
I survived… moving. An accomplishment of it’s own. Let alone moving cross-country (from Florida), to a place that… snows, is cold, requires a whole new wardrobe, and not knowing a soul.
I survived… Little Dude starting preschool…sniffle, my baby is growing up.
I survived… the winter of 2014, a triumphant feat. It was the worst winter here in Philadelphia since 1864, with the most snowfalls. I learned how to dress for winter and how to bundle my Little Dude up and how to put gloves/ mittens on him. A huge production, considering, 3- year- olds and jackets with zippers are akin to cats and swimming pools. Have you ever tried to put mittens or gloves on a 3- year- old. It is no fun.
I survived… my hubs crazy busy work schedule and travel schedule.
I managed, balanced, and juggled Little Dude without a break, help, childcare, baby sitters, or nannies, whatever. I survived and still have the brainpower left.
What an epic year. I have survived. I was unstoppable. I can and will survive whatever life toss at me. Sometimes you have to go face a challenge to see how tough you really are.
Truth is… Life is fun and it’s an adventure, live it, love it, and enjoy it.
What have you survived this past year? What did you learn from it? What made you unstoppable this year?
***I’m participating in the Unstoppable Moms Campaign and you should too! The makers of Children’s MOTRIN® are asking moms across the country to post their tips to the MOTRIN® Facebook page and for every post, the makers of Children’s MOTRIN® will donate $1 to help moms stay unstoppable. Moms could even win weekly giveaways of $100 gift cards just for posting. #UnstoppableMoms
