Mother’s Day is right around the corner! This morning little dude an I got busy on our Mother’s Day crafts. I just love anything with little hand or foot prints and creating creatures. Little dude & I headed up to Home Depot for some flowers and flower pots. He picked out a small plastic pot. It was perfect for little footprint butterflies!!
Saw these footprint butterflies in Parent’s Magazine. Thought they would look so cute on flower pots for Mother’s Day! It’s so cute all the creatures you can make out of little hand & foot prints! Get creative! Happy Mother’s Day!
What you need:
Paint (few different colors)
Put different colors of paint onto the paper plate
Mix together if you choose for a colorful foot print
Have your child step onto the plate of paint with the right foot
Press foot onto flowerpot, the big toe side will be the outside of the butterfly
Repeat with the left foot, place it to the right of the right foot.
Leave a little space to paint on butterflies body
Let it dry and then put the plant into the Butterfly Planter!
We also made some homemade “Rose” cards out of celery. You cut the celery where it bunches and attaches together. Then dip the bunch into paint and press it onto paper. It should look like you are looking down at a rose. See complete directions Roses
Happy Mother’s Day!! To all the fantastic mother’s and mommy bloggers!!
