5 Fantastic Things for Kids at Museum of Arts + Science
ONE~ Children’s Museum offers interactive exhibits for children. That lets children explore principles of science, engineering, and physics. There is something for children of all ages to enjoy at the Children’s Museum. The kids can enjoy the interactive exhibits of the pizza shop creative play stations, becoming a radiologist, becoming Crime Scene Investigators, building their own race cars, playing instruments, checking out the insides of a honey bee hive, exploring music and much more in the Children’s Museum.
TWO~ The Root Family Museum is home to a popular Americana, which was located in the same building as the Children’s Museum. The Root Family Museum hosts American antiques and a collection of automobiles. The Coca-Cola Memorabilia, antique apothecary bar, restored railroad cars, and the 3- story bear dollhouse.
THREE~ The Museum of Art walks you through Florida history told by art through watercolor paintings dating back to 1800’s.
FOUR~ The sculpture garden is an outdoor garden that stretches across two acres featuring major contemporary sculptors.
FIVE~ The planetarium offers a variety of shows and even offers a children’s show. It is included in the price of admission.
Highlights
A few of the highlights from our day at the Museum of Arts and Science. At the Children’s Museum, the kids used their imaginations in the pizza shop and make pizza, and a ran their own restaurant. The also pretended starred in their own cooking show, and they did a cooking demonstration for us. In the Root Family Museum, Little Dude loved the automobiles and life-size train replica. The girls loved the giant Teddy Bear house. We went during the week, and it wasn’t crowded. The kids enjoyed spending as much time as they wanted on the interactive activities. They also enjoyed visiting the nature preserve.

Mom Tip:
Next time we visit, I will plan a lunch break off property, and I will be bringing my own snacks & drinks. None were available for at the purchase Children’s Museum or The Root Family Museum. The only location to buy food or drinks was at the Museum of Art.

They look great, we have some pretty cool museums here in the UK too. I think they a good for kids as aside from a good family day out the kids also learn a few bits of history which is an added bonus.
