This Fall we went Apple Picking 3 times! Little Dude love it and hubby & I enjoyed it too. I have to say I’m totally obsessed with Apple Cider Donuts! I’ll have to wait till next Fall to get that special treat from the Orchard again! We have so many fresh apples, I’ve really enjoyed creating new recipes with them. Apple Sauce, Apple & Onion Pulled Pork, and more to come!
Fresh apples and cinnamon what better combination! This is the most wonderful smelling dessert, side dish, breakfast, it’s awesome. I love how the smells fill the whole house when cooking! Yummy. I love adding them on top of steel cut oatmeal, over vanilla ice cream or eating them just the way they are!
These are amazing! My hubby and I are doing a detox (no sugar, carbs, dairy) and these have been a fabulous dessert. Totally hitting that sweet tooth. They are Paleo, low-fat, low- sugar, Gluten-Free, vegan, vegetarian, and absolutely delicious!
What you need:
10- 12 apples, cored and sliced. (I used a mix of Pink Lady, Empire, Keystone because that is what we picked and I had on hand.)
2 tbsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp of vanilla
Wash, core, and slice the apples
Put into the slow cooker
Add cinnamon & vanilla
Cook on low for 4 hours
Serve warm or cold. Store in the frig.
