On St. Patrick’s Day, most Irish American people will make Corned Beef and Cabbage. Did you know that the traditional dish in Ireland is Bacon and Cabbage?
Check out our very American version of Corned Beef and Cabbage! Slow cooked and packed with flavor. It’s one of the simplest recipes ever!
Corned Beef and Cabbage
What You Need:
1 ~3-4 pound corned beef brisket
4-6 carrots
10 mini fingerling potatoes (omit for Paleo)
1/2 of a head of cabbage
1 large onion
2 cups water
1 bay leaf
How To:
Peel and chop the carrots.
Cut the onion and fingerling potatoes into large quarters.
Place the corned beef at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Add vegetables.
Then add the water.
Set the slow cooker for 8 hours.
The last hour add the cabbage.
Serve with Irish Soda Bread and Enjoy!
